CENTRE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF STONES

Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) has been conceived as a Centre of Excellence to act as a reference point for the entire dimensional stone industry and to serve as a catalyst for synergetic relationship between various segments of the industry. It is the only organization of its kind covering entire gamut of the dimensional stone sector in India. A large number of members of trade and industry are active members of CDOS.

CDOS is vigorously pursuing its objective to promote, develop and support the dimensional stone sector in the State as well as other parts of the country.

CDOS is carrying out a number of activities for the benefit of stone sector including specialized training programmes for quarry owners, processors and stone artisans, providing trade and technology information, supporting trade in participation in overseas fairs, promotion of Indian stones through various in house publications and website, policy formulation, testing of stones as per international standards, organizing India Stonemart - A biennial International Stone Industry Exposition, Global Stone Technology Forum- A biennial international Conference for technology providers, stone producers and stone users, Buyer - Sellers Meets etc.

CDOS complex with state-of-the-art facilities comprising various modules viz. Stone testing Laboratory, Artisans village, Stone Park and Stone Product Display centre etc. is Operational at Sitapura, Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan province of India.
